
A man has been killed in Yemen after a failed suicide attack at a popular market in the capital Sanaa. It is reported that the man - believed to be affiliated to al-Qaeda - was killed as a result of a mistake when his suicide vest exploded before he reached his target. Several people were injured but no reported deaths. The incident took place at Habra market which is close to the American embassy. Yemen authorities have taken extra security measures in the the region in anticipation of al-Qaeda related attacks. Majority of Western embassies remain closed, apart from the British and German embassy which re-opened on Sunday.
