Unknown militants have bombed an unused gas pipeline in northern Sinai on Friday. The bombing triggered fire but no one was hurt, security sources said. The pipeline was located in the south of Al Erish city in northern Sinai, and was previously used to export gas to Israel, the official (MENA) news agency quoted the sources as saying. This pipeline has been subjected to 23 attacks so far, they said. MENA quoted officials at the Gas Company as saying the pipeline was almost empty of gas because it was not being used. However, there were traces of gas which triggered the fire. Source: QNA
