
The Internal Audit Department of the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has briefed a visiting delegation from the Ministry of Finance in Dubai on its internal audit experience in general, and policies applied in combating fraudulence in particular, as well as the best practices.
Abdullah Al Jawi, Director of Internal Audit, and a host of officials from both parties attended the gathering, which was held at RTA Head Office.
Al Jawi commended these visits as they contribute to exchanging experience between RTA and external entities, which in turn will enhance the performance and improve the quality of deliverables. The overall outcome will contribute to achieving higher levels of creativity and excellence.
The visit shed light on initiatives of the Department including enhancing the internal audit initiative aimed to support the monitoring of the environment and bolstering the corporate governance in RTA. The two parties engaged in discussions and inquiries aimed to improve the working conditions and deliver better services.
