Mohammed bin Rashid receives senior military, police and security officers in country, expanded

Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today met with senior military, police and security officers in the country who exchanged greetings on the holy month of Ramadan.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior attended the meeting.

They wished further national and humanitarian achievements which have been accomplished thanks to God's will, directives of the wise leadership and rallying efforts of all natyional cadres so as to achieve welfare, stability and security of the Emiratis.

After welcoming senior officials, who congratulated him on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing him and the wise leadership well and happiness. They also wished more welfare and prosperity to the people of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed greeted them on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praising the field achievements in peace and war. He also stressed that the UAE's leadership, people and Armed Forces, police and security authorities are unified and work as one team for the benefit of the homeland and dignity of the UAE citizens and expatriate residents.

Sheikh Mohammed said," Your love to Allah the Almighty is coupled with your love and loyalty to your homeland, people, leadership, and the UAE Army, police and security in our country are not used to repress and confiscate the rights and freedoms, but they are used to protect people and the country, maintain the safety and security, stability of security of society which has been embodied in several national occasions and events. We are all in the service homeland, security, peace and the protection of our national gains at every levels."

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pride by the achievements of the UAE Armed Forces under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, both in terms of the scientific development, training, combat development, skills or experience gained by the national forces in more than one regions such as Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yemen and other regions where the United Nations decide to send international forces to maintain security and peace and stability.

He commended members and officers of the UAE Armed Forces who proved to those who doubted their abilities, skills and bravery, through their acts of heroism and sacrifices on the battlefields, their ability to deal successfully with all the circumstances and facts on the ground.

His Highness said, " Your wills overcome difficulties and obstacles and with your confidence in your capabilities and loyalty to your homeland and leadership that seeks peace, justice and equality for all peoples of the earth and calls for the lifting of oppression and injustice for everyone. You are my brothers are making peace when there is a war and fight and you bring hope where there is despair."

He added, "Your Grandfathers spread Islam in Europe and Africa and you are their grandsons as they had overcome poverty in the deserts of the Arab Peninsula and could reach to prosperity, progress and civilisation as we see today."

He concluded, "We thanks Mohamed bin Zayed, the young leader who has managed to deal with the surrounding crises with wisdom, courage and strong will which had been derived from his faith in Allah the Almighty and the confident of the Emiratis who are representing the best scientific, technical and humanitarian achievements and other areas.

Sheikh Mohammed also highlighted the achievements of the UAE police and security authorities led by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior which could achieve the highest levels of security, safety and stability in a diverse ethnic and multicultural society till it became a global example of coexistence , tolerance and solidarity.

Among those who also attended the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ministers and other senior military and police officials.
