Security forces have detained Palestinian national Abdelkereem Mostafa, the son-in-law of the Osbat al-Ansar founder Ahmed [Abu Mohjen] al-Saadi. Abu Mohjen has been in hiding since the 2003 Ain al-Hilweh clashes in which he was involved. He has also been accused of harbouring fugitives from justice, including the killers of the four Lebanese judges in a 1999 shooting in the city of Sidon near the refugee camp, 17 kilometres south of Beirut. A security source told Arabstoday that a military intelligence source was able to capture the man known as “el-Tiger” in an ambush laid in Sidon. Two people [Palestinian and Syrian nationals] were injured in the operation. The source described Mostafa as a “valuable quarry” who is in possession of information that could “shed light on many crimes that have been committed.” He is “in the hands of the Lebanese judiciary,” the source said.
