Morocco has decided to recall for consultation the Ambassador of His Majesty the King in Algiers, announced on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC) in a statement. This decision comes in response to a number of hostile and provocative acts by Algeria against the Kingdom, particularly with regard to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, the statement says. The hostile speech on October 28 by the Algerian President at a meeting in Abuja towards Morocco illustrates this deliberate escalation will, and confirms this inflexible approach aimed at maintaining the status quo. The deliberately provocative content and inherently aggressive wording of this message, from the highest authority in the country, clearly reflects the position of Algeria as a party to the dispute and unequivocally reveals its true strategy based on the political manipulation of the noble cause of human rights, the ministry\'s statement says. Instead of investing, in a positive and constructive way, in the search for a political solution, Algeria strives to increase its counterproductive diversionary tactics. These unfortunate and recurring acts go against the sincere will of Morocco to establish relations of brotherhood, cooperation and good neighborhood with Algeria to build a united Maghreb and meet the many challenges that region is facing, the statement notes. This fierce obsession with Morocco will not divert the well-educated and intelligent Algerian people from their real legitimate concerns and aspirations. According to the Ministry, during the recall period, the diplomatic and consular representations of the Kingdom in Algeria will continue to operate under the authority of a charge d\'affaires.
