
Deposed president Mohammad Morsi arrived at the Police Academy in the 5th Settlement, New Cairo, where his trial along with 14 co-defendants in Ittihadiya violence will be held, said a security source at the Interior Ministry. The source told MENA that Morsi was airlifted by helicopter from his prison to the Academy and then moved to the court room in a car amid tight security measures. All other defendants arrived earlier at the court from Tora Prison in armored vehicles and amid tight security measures. A number of security patrols have been deployed all along the ring road as part of a security plan carried out by the Interior Ministry. Source: MENA
