The Salafist Al-Nour Party has rejected the Islamists' participation in the presidential elections, said party leader Younis Makhioun.
The remarks were made by Makhioun over the Muslim Brotherhood's victory in the 2013 polls.
Following a meeting held between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and political parties and groups, Makhioun said when Sisi broached the subject during the meeting, he was not talking to him (Makhion) as the leader of the Nour Party but because he was the only representative of the Islamist current at the meeting.
