Obama and Romney go head to head over Syria

President Barack Obama and Mick Romney clashed over the handling of the Syrian crisis, whilst discussing foreign policy in third and final presidential debate on Monday. With the US presidential elections less than two weeks away, Romney argued he was against direct military intervention in Syria. Mr Romney offered a dismal assessment of Mr Obama\'s foreign policy, pointing to bloodshed in Syria and in Libya - where four Americans including the US ambassador were killed last month. The Reublican candidate added an an attack on Iran would only be used as a last resort, seeking to neutralise the advantage Obama enjoys thanks to the killing of Osama bin Laden. Romney insisted his policy was about more than \"going after the bad guys\". \"We can\'t just kill our way out of this mess,\" he added.
