The member of the executive committee from the Palestinian liberation organization (PLO) Saleh Rafat, refused the US Democratic Party’s statement: \"Jerusalem Israel capital to its platform.” Rafat said to Arabstoday: \"The American side is not fair any more in supervising the Palestinian negotiation, as the Democratic Party headed by Obama is manipulating the Palestinian case through its election propaganda supporting Israel.\" He added : “We refuse to be a part of Obama’s election policy, as we consider east Jerusalem the capital of the Palestinian state, whether Obama is accepted or not.\" Rafat wondered: \"What president Obama has done to peace operations since he became the US president in 2008? But actually the operation has been hampered since his coming, and now he says in his statement that he supports Israel to continue its arrogance, and non-adherence to the international legitimacy.\" The American Democratic Party added the sentence \"Jerusalem, Israel\'s capital\" to Obama\'s presidential elections program after irritating Israel and being criticized by the Republican Party for the absence of this article. A senior source in the Democratic Party told CNN: \"The president himself ordered that Jerusalem be included in the platform, as he doesn\'t want to create any suspicion about his non-changing commitment against Israeli security.\"
