
Pakistan on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Baghdad, which resulted in heavy loss of lives and injuries.
The suicide car bomb attacks at crowded commercial areas in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad early Sunday have killed 79 people and wounded 133 others.
"The Government and the people of Pakistan extend their heartfelt condolences to the brotherly government and people of Iraq over the loss of innocent lives," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people of Iraq in this hour of grief. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families and we wish speedy recovery for the injured," the statement said.
Pakistan reiterated its strong condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
