
Eight Palestinian children were arrested on Wednesday by Israeli forces in Abu Dis village near Ramallah in the West Bank for reportedly throwing stones at the soldiers and their vehicles. Witnesses have identified seven of the detained minors as Mohammed al-Mohtaseb, Mahmoud Bassa, Mohammed al-Senawi, Khalil al-Reshq, Anas Bader, Amer Ayyad and Amin Rabi. The eighth child has not yet been identified. Several children needed medical treatment after the Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters whilst making the arrests. According to local sources, the troops also summoned two Palestinian men to the Israeli intelligence headquarters for further investigations. Meanwhile on Thursday two Palestinians from the West Bank town of Bethlehem were arrested after their homes were raided.
