Minister of Justice in the Palestinian coalition government Salim Al-Saqqa said here on Monday the government would meet for the first time next Thursday in Gaza, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah, after Israeli permits have been granted.
Al-Saqqa told KUNA that the government officials' visit to Gaza will begin by inspecting the places that have been devastated by the Israeli occupation during the recent Israeli war to determine the extent of the destruction in the strip.
He pointed out that the meeting would also discuss all outstanding issues, chiefly the reconstruction and ways to unify the Palestinian Authority institutions.
The minister said the Prime Minister will head right after the conclusion of the Gaza meeting to Egypt to participate in the international conference for the Gaza reconstruction, scheduled for the middle of this month in Cairo.
He described the visit of the government to the Gaza Strip as "historic for the Palestinian people".
