A group of masked youths toured the streets of Ramallah under the name of Tamarod Movement ??(Rebel) for the first time since the second Aqsa uprising seven years ago. The movement called for ?recovering the uprising atmosphere and the popular and armed resistance against Israeln in order to restore the Palestinian cause.? The march started in front of al Manara square in Ramallah and toured the main streets of the city, ?while youth from both genders repeated calls for the return of the military movements. The masked participants called their action “Uprising, O Palestinian, rebel!” and held banners saying “Uprising.” The group invited Palestinians to engage with Israel\'s army at the barriers, chanting: “We were not born to live humiliated, we were born to live freely. ?Get down to the streets my people, defend your rights my people, liberate your hostages my ?people.”? One of the protesters’ spokesmen said they wore the masks to protect the youth against repeated ?Israeli arrests, adding: \"We are people who live under occupation, which means we are always in ?confrontation with it. All the activities of the group are against the occupation.”? The Palestinian youth were inspired by the Egyptian Tamarod campaign which was able to gather ?millions of Egyptians in the squares and protest against president Mohammed Morsi on ?June 30, inspiring them to apply the same move in Palestine, rebelling ?against division, poverty and corruption and to draft a new roadmap for the country.
