Egyptian security sources in Ismailia governorate said that two Palestinians were arrested after they were found with a mobile phone containing pictures of Egyptian military machinery and videos showing a group of persons training on shooting. According to the sources, security officers centred at the security barrier of the ferry boat, transferring citizens between the two shores of the canal, became suspicious of the two passengers heading to Sinai. When questioning them, they looked confused after which security officers asked for their identity cards and found they possessed false Egyptian IDs. The suspects, 19 year old Mohamed Abdel Karim and 18 year old Mohamed Ibrahim, admitted their illegal entry into the Egyptian territory through tunnels, adding that they had paid an Egyptian resident in Rafah $100 to obtain false IDs. According to the sources, security authorities are currently investigating the issue and interrogating the Palestinians to establish more details on where the pictures and videos were taken, the location of the training camp shown in the video and details on how they entered the Egyptian territory. Ismailia detectives have also arrested another Palestinian near Suez Canal while he was returning to Sinai. Security sources said that the 30 year old Palestinian, Deeb E. D. was caught at the Western entrance of Salam bridge without any legal permission for entry. When asked, they were told he entered the Egyptian territory illegally through the border tunnels between Egypt and Gaza Strip.
