Spokesman For Peshmerga troops in Iraq on Tuesday denied reports that Mosul dam is under the control of militants of the Islamic State, or the so-called Daesh group, Sky New network reported.
No further details have been given by the all news network.
The remarks come after well-placed sources in Ninawa governorate said that Mosul dam has fallen under the grip of Daesh for the second time in the wake of fierce clashes with the Peshmerga troops, adding that some 200 elements of such troops have been taken as hostages.
Mosul Dam is a critical utility for the security and stability of a wide region of Iraq's infrastructure.
