
President Omar al-Bashir will hold talks with President Salva Kiir of South Sudan, on the sidelines of the Arab-African summit due to kick off in Kuwait on Wednesday. Head of the African Union High Level Implementation Panel on Sudan Thabo Mbeki and Chairman of the African Union Haile Sellasie will attend the summit. Quoting informed sources, the local Akher Lahza newspaper said Thursday that Bashir-Kiir meeting will focus on pending issues between the two countries, follow-up on Juba's summit outcome and take up the Abyie issue.
