Protest groups return to Jordanian streets

Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood and anti-government groups returned to the streets on Friday to protest against the legitimacy of the country\'s newly-elected parliament. The demonstrators, who began their march from el-Hussieny Mosque in Amman, called for a new elections law and amendments to the constitution. Muslim Brotherhood condemned discussions between Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Jordanian parliamentary blocks over the appointment of the new prime minister. The Islamist group questioned the integrity of last month\'s elections after boycott from several opposition groups. Friday\'s events, the first public protests since elections on January 23, passed relatively peacefully.
