Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation today with German Chancellor Angela Merkel stressed the importance of unifying efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Syria on the basis of US-Russian agreements.
The two sides also discussed the situation in Ukraine, in light of efforts to implement the Minsk agreements.
