Qatari Prince arrives at Rafah on his way to Gaza

Crown Prince of Qatar Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani and his wife Sheikha Mozah Bint Naser arrived in Al Arish airport on Monday on their way to the Gaza Strip. Sources from Al Arish Airport said the envoy took a helicopter to the Al Arish airport to Rafah and from then on they will travel to Gaza by land. 20 cars are set to take the delegation into Gaza. The Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim and presidential delegation left Arish in 35 diplomatic cars to Rafah. Qatar’s PM took a private jet ,accompanied by 20 senior Qatari officials and arrived at Al Arish International airport. The visit is subjected to rigorous security protection, sources said. This is the first visit of an Arab ruler to Gaza since Hamas took over in 2007.
