The Salafist Nour Party has set up a central operation room to monitor the referendum set to take place on Saturday, the political party has revealed. The referendum will be held in ten governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Dakahlia, Gharbeya, Sharkia, Assiut, Aswan, Sohag, North Sinai and South Sinai. Nour Party Secretary General Galal Mora said in a statement issued on Friday that the room aimed to track any potential violation during the voting process. If any discrepancy is spotted, officials will be warned, said Mora. Mora urged the Egyptian people to vote in the referendum to prove that the revolution restored their right to express their opinion – a right that the former regime ignored. He said that the constitution is the only way to rid the country of the current crisis. The Secretary General also warned that there have been attempts to deter the population from voting. The army will secure the democratic process, concluded Mora.
