
Following security tensions in Lebanon, Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Awad Asiri, has called on all Saudis living in Lebanon to return to their homeland. The ambassador clarified in a statement on Saturday that the embassy is in continuous contact with Saudis in Lebanon - from envoys to students. He revealed that the the embassy has urged all students to return home after exams, adding that there is a continuous follow up for everyone residing there. Asiri added that the embassy is ready to assist anyone who requires help and that an electronic message has been sent out to all Saudis with mobile phones in Lebanon. The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf has urged its citizens not to travel to Lebanon anytime soon for safety reasons.
