
A senior Al-Qaeda leader was killed on Friday in Shabwah Governorate Southeast Yemen. The Al-Qaeda leader was killed in a raid carried out by army and security forces on one of Al-Qaeda strong holds in Shabwah Governorate, a military source said on Friday. Military and security forces of Yemen, backed by the People’s Committees continue combing Al-Qaeda strongholds in the towns of Azzan and Maifa’a, the source added. Shabwah Governorate, over the past weeks, has witnessed fierce fighting between the government forces and Al-Qaeda gunmen. Source: QNA
