Sit-in to release Jordanian detainees

On Thursday, a Jordanian activist group organised a sit-in in the centre of the capital Amman, demanding the release of detainees. The protesters raised slogans and chanted: \"My people who are in detention, oh King Abdullah we want a decision, we want to free those imprisoned.\" There were huge numbers of security forces deployed onto the scene despite activists initially distributing them with flowers. The number of Jordanian activists who have been detained is 17.
