President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, met Thursday at Baabda palace with Palestinian Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah, who relayed President Mahmoud Abbas's keenness on the commitment of the Palestinians in Lebanon to the Lebanese enforced laws. Handallah also informed Sleiman of the headway of the negotiations with the Israelis, indicating that talks are still in limbo due to Israel's terms, pressures, and colonization policy. He added that the inter-Palestinian reconciliation has as well reached an impasse. The pair also discussed the current juncture in the region, especially in Syria. Sleiman has earlier met with outgoing Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, who briefed him on the outcome of his fresh visits in France and Qatar. Afterwards, the President respectively met with the Pakistani Ambassador to Lebanon and the Lebanese Ambassador to Syria. Source: NNA
