South American and Arab Foreign Affairs Ministers have been drafting the final aspects of The ‘Lima Declaration’, which is expected to be approved on Tuesday. The third South America-Arab Summit has been focused on the drafting of the document, which will include a series of agreements on economic and financial cooperation, environment, science and technology, culture and social development. Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebary headed the meetings representing the Arab delegation, where he praised the efforts Peru made to arrange and organise the summit, according to a statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He invited to strengthen common development in different fields including political, economic, cultural and diplomatic matters between South America and Arab countries. "We have made enough progress in environment, tourism, energy, and transportation, as well as cooperation efforts," said Zebary. According to the statement issued by the Ministry, Iraq will be heading the summit for the next three years.
