South Sudan leader says new cabinet to form soon

South Sudan\'s President Silva Kiir said on Tuesday that a new government will be announced in the very near future. Kiir statement came after he ended talks with several party leaders where he asked them to submit their nominations, highlighting that women will be represented in the new government. South Sudan’s leader sacked his entire cabinet last week in what appeared to be a power struggle with other senior leaders including Vice-President Riek Machar. The country has suffered from constant economic problems since it split from Sudan in 2011. Kiir has accused neighbouring Sudan of attempting to instigate a collapse in his administration through threats to block southern oil exports from reaching international markets. “They are threatening to block flow of the oil through their territory. It has become a weapon and a strategy they think would instigate collapse. They are doing it deliberately thinking we will collapse. We will not collapse,\" Kiir said on Tuesday. Kiir has previously said his new cabinet will be based on the people\'s will as this would be the only way his party could reward the public for their support during the struggle for independence.
