Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and President of South Sudan Salva Kiir held a bilateral summit on Friday evening in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa. Sudan\'s Foreign Minister, Ali Karti told Arabstoday that the two leaders discussed a number of vital matters as well as impending issues - most notably the dilemma revolving around rebel support from parties in Southern Sudan. Karti affirmed Kiir\'s commitment in making sure no support was given to any rebel group in South Kordofan, Blue Nile or Darfur. The Sudanese minister added that Sudan provided documents to prove that it was not a country looking to disrupt the flow of people, trade and southern oil after it emerged particular parties were attempting to impede these.
