
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti affirmed on Monday Sudan's keenness on developing relations with the Arab countries especially Egypt. "Relations with Egypt are strategic and based on mutual interests," said the foreign minister in statements to the Parliament. Karti believes that the stability of Egypt means also the stability of Sudan. "What is going on in Egypt is the country's internal affair," added Karti. Karti also referred to stable and deep-rooted relations with the Gulf countries of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. The foreign minister also spoke about ongoing efforts to improve relations between Sudan and Uganda expecting a near breakthrough. He also praised the supportive stands of Russia and China in the security council which "stood against many decisions against Sudan." Source: MENA
