Spokesperson for Sudan’s Armed Forces, Al Sawarmy Khaled Saad, has denied claims of insurgents shooting down a military aircraft on Friday in the town of Abu Karshula, South Kordofan. Saad said in a statement that the aircraft was performing a routine flight, when it crashed due to a technical malfunction. He stressed that the area has witnessed a state of stability due to the Sudanese military, adding that the latter dominate the region. He praised the role of the armed forces in confronting any potential attack that could target the country, and called on citizens to also bear responsibility of security in the country.
