
Prominent member of the Syrian opposition movement, Kamal al-Labwani, has revealed that 7,000 Syrian defected military officers are distributed between Jordan, Turkey ?and Lebanon.? Labwani stated that are now discussions between the coalition and the defected officers to form a national army to replace the Free Syrian Army in the near future.? During a special meeting on Monday evening in the Jordanian capital, Amman, Labwani said the coalition will officially request training of the defected officers in Jordan or ?Turkey, adding that if this is rejected, training will then be ?transferred to liberated areas inside Syria.? The opposition member added that the coalition has not yet made any decisions regarding the Geneva conference, and threatened to dissolve the coalition if the Syrian regime is present at the conference. ?
