Syrian military aircraft have shelled the eastern Lebanese border town of Arsal, a hub for Syrians refugees fleeing from Qusayr and Damascus. Locals sources claimed that Syria violated Lebanese airspace over Arsal, firing two rockets into the town’s square, just hours after the funeral of local activist Ahmed el-Hajiry. Earlier, sources said that masked men belonging to Hezbollah hijacked a bus in the Sunni city as part of the their plot to target residents. About 40,000 Syrian refugees have fled to the Lebanese city over the last few months. Syrian Army forces and rebels have launched rockets into Lebanese territory for months as part of their conflict in Syria.
