The death of a civilian by sniper fire has sparked widespread protests in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, it has emerged today. Security sources have revealed that Talal Ajaya died on Tuesday after being shot in the head by a sniper bullet fired by a Libyan soldier. It has not been revealed whether it was an accident of intentional. Protests raged in the Jabal Mohsen district of Tripoli all day yesterday and this morning, revealed the security source, with reports the army were seen throwing grenades and mortar shells in a bid to disperse the crowd.
