The European Union (EU), France and Germany on Wednesday inked a deal for joint financing of 715 million euros (810 million U.S. dollars) to support development in Togo over the period 2014-2020.
EU, French and German ambassadors to Togo signed the deal with Adji Oteth Ayassor, Togolese minister of economy, finance and development planning.
The financial support as a grant is in line with Togo's national policy for development.
On Wednesday, the EU also agreed to support capacity building of Togolese municipalities.
