Libyan rebels have arrested the officer manager of Gaddafi’s former-Intelligence chief, Abdallah Al Sanousi. The officer manager was in possession of 2m Libyan dinars ($1.6m). The Qurayna newspaper in Tripoli has stated that rebels also found important documents and eight expensive cars at the office manager’s home. Qurayna claims that the office manager attempted to bribe the rebels with the cars. Former-President Muammar Gaddafi has been known to hide large sums of money in houses of trusted allies. Gaddafi is believed to have withdrawn large amounts of money from banks during the revolution, preventing ordinary Libyans from accessing funds to cover their daily expenses.
