Turkish authorities on Friday detained 18 cabinet employees in Ankara on orders of the Ankara prosecutors office as part of the ongoing probe into the country's failed coup attempt, Anadolu Agency reported.
The detentions were part of a joint investigation by the Ankara police department focusing on anti-smuggling and organized crime, a security source told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity.
The suspects, who include cabinet experts, will be referred to the court after completing procedures at the police department.
