UN vows to support new Lebanese PM

UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly vowed that the UN will support efforts exerted by Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam and his new government. Following his meeting with Salam Thursday, Plumbly said that he discussed with him ways of boosting cooperation between the UN and Lebanon along with the implementation of 1701 Resolution, which entails facing the humanitarian challenges which confront Lebanon.
