The spokesman for the UNIFIL in Lebanon, Andrea Tenenti, released a press release on Wednesday denying published reports regarding UNIFIL officers working for Israeli Mossad. The reports suggested the officers had also spent their vacations with big numbers in Israel. However, Tenenti confirmed that \"it is a tendentious report which is not true,\" adding, \"the UNIFIL has been working in the region for several years, and its work is employed by the Security Council, based on transparency and well valued by the Lebanese and the international society. He also mentioned that cooperation between parties from both sides, is represented in determining the practical requirements for UNIFIL employment according to the Security Council resolution Number 1701. Cooperation operations with the Lebanese military troops in the South is greatly responsible on the unprecedented calmness and stability for the last six years, as they are mainly working in the South and any Israeli crossing is for operational purposes. All Israeli activities and movements are organised with the Lebanese troops and authorities. Tenenti has called on the press to stop spreading this non-clear fabricated news.
