U.S. to increase aid if Cairo releases Ilan Gerabil

Sources told “Akhbar Al Youm" newspaper about the U.S. diplomatic attempts over the past few days to convince the Egyptian authorities in Cairo to release the U.S. citizen Ilan Gerabil, who was arrested in Egypt on suspicion of espionage U.S. Congressman Gary Akraman promised to increase the U.S. aid to Egypt if Cairo accepts to release the Ilan Gerbail. The U.S. Embassy in Cairo said in a statement that, it has submitted a request to the Attorney General to visit the defendant. Ilan Gerbil demitted during the investigation that he was trying to improve his relationship with Egyptians, especially after the revolution, which was supported by America.
