Yemen Islamist denies sending fighters to Egypt

Yemen’s Islamist leader Sheikh Abdul Majeed al-Zindani denied reports suggesting he sent fighters to support Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, after the toppling of Islamist president Mohammed Morsi. Al-Zindani assured that he called for a peaceful revolution, denying any accusation of supporting violence or terrorism. It was reported that Yemen Islamists were planning to send fighters to support Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, after ousting Morsi by a popular military coup. Al-Zindani is the founder and head of Al-Iman University in Sanaa that was founded in 1995 with the support of Yemen\'s government. He is also a senior member of one of the main Islamist political Yemeni parties, the Islah Party.
