Yemeni authorities have foiled a bomb threat against the country’s president, security sources said on Sunday. The bomb had been planted underneath a main bridge in the capital Sanaa, on a route usually taken by Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi en route to his home from the presidential palace. Security forces foiled the bomb attempt on the Alsteen Street bridge on Sunday, after the seven-kilo C3 charge was discovered and diffused, the Defence Ministry announced on its website. Suspects believed to be linked to the incident are being tracked by police, sources said.
