Sixteen people, including a woman and a child, were killed Saturday in attacks by pro-government army and security forces in Daraa, Homs, Hama and Aleppo, according to Local Coordination Committees (LCC). Among the latest casualties were six members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), who were killed in violent clashes with pro-government forces in several cities and towns in Syria, the LCC said. Meanwhile, many Syrian cities were the scene of mass demonstrations and protests, while security crackdowns were launched in most cities, they added. Explosions were heard in Homs, Damascus and Countryside of Damascus where Military Police members joined the FSA, they pointed out.
