Acting upon the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE project to assist Pakistan has mobilised caravans carrying food items for the displaced families in Pakistan. The $1million programme will distribute essential food among the impoverished during the Holy Month of Ramadan helping them to cook Iftar meals. The effort comes within the constant keenness of Sheikh Khalifa to improve the living conditions of the impoverished and enable them to return to normal life, said Director of the UAE project to assist Pakistan Abdullah Khalifa Al Ghafli. Over 20,000 families in Pakistan will benefit from the food aid in its current phase. From:Gulftoday
