Egyptian security forces stationed in the central section of the Sinai Peninsula’s border with Israel have arrested two Eritrean men, who tried to illegally enter Israel. The two illegal immigrants were arrested south of the Rafah and Karam Abu Salem crossing while attempting to cross barbed-wire barriers into Israel. The two men have been identified as Mikal Zidani Rassoum and Munzi Jado Mehlab. They were taken to the Arish hospital for their injuries, before receiving the all-clear. The two suspects reportedly confessed to trying to enter Israel illegally in order to find work after paying a smuggling ring $4,000 for transport to the border.
