Two Palestinian prisoners, who had been sentenced to serve three consecutive life sentences in Israeli jails entered their 28th year, Director of the Bureau of Statistics at the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoners Abdul-Nasser Ferwana said. In a statement issued Thursday, Ferwana confirmed that the detainees who were arrested since 1985 are Othman Abdullah Mahmoud Bani Hassan, 45, from 'Arbona, and Hazza Mohammad Hazza As-Sa'di, 45, from Jenin refugee camp. Othman and Hazza were arrested on charges of belonging to the Fatah movement and implementing a commando operation against the Israeli occupation forces, Ferwana explained, indicating that they are the oldest prisoners from the province of Jenin. Ferwana called on human rights organizations to pay attention to the veteran prisoners and to highlight their suffering.
