20 Tunisians convicted for attacking US consulate

A Tunisian court found 20 people guilty of attacking the US consulate in Libyan Benghazi and charged them with a two-year suspended sentence. The defendants pleaded not guilty, AFP reported. As a result of that attack in September last year, US Ambassador Christopher Stephens and three members of the embassy staff were killed. After that the US Administration was heavily criticized. Congressmen declared that the government gave false information about the incident and did not increase security measures ahead of the attack.
