Three bystanders were injured in the Macedonian capital Skopje after a man fired into a car park late on Friday, local media reported according to dpa. The 20-year-old attacker began shooting at cars after midnight. Two vehicles were hit, but the wounded escaped serious injury and were treated only for cuts from shards of glass. The man was apprehended by uniformed police about an hour later, Info Plus reported, quoting an Interior Ministry statement. The background of the attack was not immediately clear, but it came amid a resurgence in ethnic tensions in a country that had been on the verge of a civil war 11 years ago.
