
At least four people died and 51 others suffered injuries due to the fiery blast that ripped through the main police building in Cairo early on Friday, the Ministry of Health said in a statement. According to the ministry official statement, the wounded suffered from diverse cuts. Meanwhile, Minister of Interior Major General Mohammad Ibrahim, accompanied by officials, inspected the blast scene, where a car rigged with explosives blew up early today. The official Middle East News Agency said government forces enforced extraordinary security precuations at several landmark locations across Cairo today. The explosion that occurred in Baba Al-Khalq district damaged facades of several nearby buildings. Many of the wounded were inside the police building when the booby-trapped car blew up.
