5 killed, 14 injured in separate blasts in Iraq

Five people were killed and 14 others injured in two different explosions in Iraq, police sources said on Thursday. The first explosion took place inside a house in Albu Faraj region north of Ramadi city, Anbar province that killed three and injured three others including women and children, according to a police source. Preliminary investigations reveal that the explosion may have occurred as a result of explosive device manufacturing at home, the source added. The second blast targeted a military training center in northern Iraq\'s Kirkuk province, and killed two and wounded 12 others. Kirkuk police told KUNA that a booby-tapped car explosion targeted a number of soldiers in the centre of the city of Kiwan, northwest of Kirkuk.
