At least five people have been injured after a huge explosion rocked a residential building in central Paris, French media said on Friday.
Local residents have reportedly been evacuated.
The explosion destroyed part of a building and sending smoke rising over the French capital, The Independent reported.
The cause of the explosion was unclear but witnesses suggested a gas leak may have been the cause.
